Seven reasons to use oatmeal for beauty

Oatmeal is a fantastic ingredient that can be used for beauty in many ways! Not only is it great for your skin, but it can also help to improve the health of your hair and nails. Here are seven reasons you should start using oatmeal for your beauty routine.

Acne

There are a lot of reasons why rashes might appear on your face. Sometimes you can eliminate them by finding and eliminating the root cause. But even if you don’t know what is causing the rash, you can still try an old method that might help: boil oatmeal until soft and apply it to the affected areas for 15 minutes. This method often works better than people expect!

Skin whitening

Oatmeal can brighten up your skin. To make your skin lighter and more even, mix 2 tbsp of oatmeal with 4 tbsp milk and 4 tbsp of lime juice. Then, apply the mask for 20-25 minutes. It should be done once a week for several weeks.

Nails and hair care

Oatmeal can also help to strengthen your nails and improve the condition of your hair. If you want to try this:

  1. Boil oatmeal until soft and add 2 tbsp of olive oil.
  2. Apply the mixture to your nails and hair and leave it on for 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse with warm water.

Dry shampoo

Sometimes, we want to clean our hair, but we can’t wash it. Dry shampoo will help in this situation. Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and 1 teaspoon of baking soda together to make it. Before using dry shampoo, first, comb your hair well. Then, leaning over the bathtub, apply the mixture to all of your hair. After 5-6 minutes, use a clean towel to rub your hair and remove all of the dry shampoos. This type of shampoo is better for blond hair (because it is more noticeable on dark hair and more challenging to remove), and brunettes can tone the composition by adding cocoa powder.

Dandruff

Oatmeal can help not only the skin on your face but also your scalp! Mix 2 tbsp. brown sugar, uncooked wholemeal oats, and your favorite hair conditioner. Use the mixture as a scalp scrub, massaging the scalp for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse your hair thoroughly. You should do this once a week for several weeks.

Sensitive skin

If you have sensitive skin, oatmeal can be a great way to soothe it. Mix 1/2 cup of oatmeal with 1/2 cup of milk and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, apply the mixture to your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Eczema and psoriasis

If you have eczema or psoriasis, you know how difficult it can be to find a natural remedy that works. Oatmeal is one of the few ingredients that has been shown to help alleviate the symptoms of these conditions. You can make a paste out of oatmeal and water and apply it to the affected areas.
